Profile

Zoe is described by The Legal 500 2011 as being 'tenacious on her feet and understanding of her clients' and by Chambers and Partners 2011 as 'conscientious and direct'. She has substantial experience of advocacy in the High Court as well as in the appellate courts, including the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords. Her clients include some of the UK's largest insurers, financial institutions and local authorities.

Zoe has experience in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, wrongful and unfair dismissals, and equal pay. She also has experience of contract disputes with an emphasis on employment issues, such as the re-organisation of businesses and breach of confidence.

In the personal injury arena, Zoe now focuses on two areas: representing insurers in fraudulent claims and cases which have a cross border element. Zoe has spent over 12 years representing insurers in fraud cases, and now deals primarily with fraud rings and recovering monies paid out to parties in the tort of deceit. The remainder of her personal injury practice focuses on cases which involve a foreign element. Zoe lived in Canada for 15 years where she developed a strong interest in North American legal systems. She also lectured part time in European law during her early career at the Bar. This background has helped her develop a practice focusing on claims that involve conflicts of law and applicable law issues including Rome II.
