Law and Religion

Ed Morgan has accepted an invitation to become Visiting Professor at the Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven, focussing on Law and Religion. His direct teaching commitment will not impact upon his professional practice.  He will also continue to supervise doctoral students at the university. 

The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) is located in Flanders, Belgium. Established in 1425, KU Leuven is Belgium's largest university and enjoys an international reputation in a wide range of academic fields, including canon law. As a pontifical university it confers both  civil and pontifical degrees. 

In common with many international universities, KU Leuven draws upon a number of electronic and internet based teaching methods to ensure access to post-graduate research across Europe.

Last week Robert Smith, instructed by the CPS POCA unit, concluded a long running confiscation case, in which the defendant was found to have benefitted from his criminal conduct in the sum of £8 million and was ordered to pay £3.4 million within the next 3 months.
