Philip Barnes appointed Recorder

It is with great pleasure to announce that The Queen has appointed Philip Barnes to be a Recorder on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

Philip will sit on the Northern Circuit dealing with family work and his appointment will take effect from 16 September 2019.

Chambers would like to congratulate Philip on his appointment and wish him well in his role. As the position is part time, Philip will continue to practice from 9 St John Street Chambers.
