Tom Gilbart Appointed as Circuit Judge

The Queen has appointed Thomas Christie Gilbart to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Bolton Crown Court with effect from 26 July 2021. Thomas Christie Gilbart, aged 40, will be known as His Honour Judge Gilbart. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2003. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2018.
