Serenity at the Bar

25th March, 2019

A career at the Bar is not the easiest. It certainly comes with its fair share of difficulties; unsociable hours, large workload and high levels of unpredictability. It is not therefore surprising that various surveys of the Bar have found large numbers of members suffering from high levels of stress and damage to their mental health. The Employment Law Bar Association seeks to give us the answers to the question all barristers face: how do we balance our practice with our wellbeing?

The event, being held at 9SJS at 5:30pm on 17th June 2019, has an impressive line-up of speakers including President of the Employment Tribunals, Brian Doyle, Employment Judge Hilary Slater, Diya Sen Gupta QC, Blackstone Chambers, Naeema Choudry, Partner at Eversheds, and 9SJS's own Head Clerk Tony Morrissey.

We look forward to seeing you there.
