James Hurd and William Hamilton appointed Deputy District Judges

Chambers are delighted to announce that James Hurd and William Hamilton have both been appointed by the Lord Chief Justice as a Deputy District Judge on the Northern Circuit, within the Civil and Family Courts respectively.

James and William will continue with their busy practices and also sit part-time.

James Hurd commented, "I am very proud and honoured to have been appointed as a Deputy District Judge. I look forward to combining sitting with my work in Chambers. I am confident that this experience will make me a better advocate and help me provide even higher quality advice to clients."

William Hamilton said, "I am thrilled to have been appointed and am looking forward to broadening my expertise in my new role."

New rule update: Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024, SI 2024/1155

From 6th January 2025 the Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024, SI 2024/1155 will come into effect. This replaces the rules of procedure already contained in Schedule 1 of the Employment Tribunal (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) regulations 2013.
