Members of Travel Law Team attend PEOPIL Conferences

During May, Boyd Morwood and Ian Denham attended the PEOPIL (Pan-European Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) RTA and Whiplash Conference in Amsterdam. 

Topics discussed at the Conference included a comparison of liability issues of cycling claims arising in England and Wales, the Netherlands and France as well as recent developments in Rome II. The Conference was attended by over 40 delegates from across Europe. 

At the Conference Ian Denham was elected to act as the Secretary to the PEOPIL RTA & Whiplash European Exchange Group.

PEOPIL’s Dutch hosts also provided a series of cultural events including a guided tour of the Rijksmuseum, tasting of Dutch cuisine and a canal boat tour of Amsterdam.

Previously, in April of this year, Ian Denham, William Hamilton, Jasmine Skander and Amy Rollings attended the inaugural PEOPIL Young Lawyers’ Conference which was held at the offices of Irwin Mitchell in London.

Boyd Morwood, Ian Denham, William Hamiliton and Jasmine Skander are all members of Chambers’ Travel Law team.

New rule update: Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024, SI 2024/1155

From 6th January 2025 the Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024, SI 2024/1155 will come into effect. This replaces the rules of procedure already contained in Schedule 1 of the Employment Tribunal (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) regulations 2013.
