PROFILE

Emily practises across all areas of Personal Injury law. She has a busy court practice and is frequently instructed to provide advice upon liability and quantum in all types of personal injury claims.

Emily completed pupillage in chambers under the supervision of Chris Taft and Elizabeth Murray. During pupillage she gained significant experience of employer’s liability claims, public liability claims, and causation disputes where fundamental dishonesty has been raised.

Prior to the Bar Emily worked as a paralegal in a leading law firm where she managed a large caseload of Fast Track claims. Due to this experience she understands the difficulties and practicalities her instructing solicitors face in the cases she is instructed upon, and how best to act accordingly. Emily also developed a warm and supportive manner with lay clients. During her undergraduate studies Emily received her university’s award for Academic Excellence, for being one of the highest achieving students on her LLB course.

Emily was recently successful in securing the dismissal of a £13,000 claim for credit hire on the basis of failure to prove need. She happily accepts instructions from both Claimants and Defendants
