Emily is a Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence pupil under the supervision of Chris Taft and Elizabeth Murray. Emily is accepting instructions from 11th March 2024.
Before commencing pupillage, Emily was a paralegal who processed fast-track personal injury claims. She also regularly appeared as a solicitors’ agent in the County Court for infant settlement approval hearings, directions hearings for consumer credit claims including resisting an application to strike out, and small claims trials, including credit hire and LVI.
Emily previously volunteered with the Greater Manchester Law Centre to represent their clients’ appeals in the First-Tier Tribunal, securing significant welfare benefits for vulnerable members of society.
During her first six Emily has observed cases spanning the breadth of personal injury work, including fatal accidents, joint settlement meetings, a wide variety of trials and interim hearings, in addition to inquests and General Medical Council work.
