Lukhvinder undertook pupillage in Essex prior to moving back to Manchester to exclusively practise family law. She is known for being a hard-working, experienced, and confident advocate. Lukhvinder represented the mother in relation to the issue of whether, and, if so, in what form the fact-finding judgment in the care proceedings should be published. This was one of the first cases to be considered following the 2014 Practice Guidance, ‘Transparency in the Family Courts’ being issued by the President of the Family Division.

Having represented the father throughout earlier concluded care proceedings, Lukhvinder was instructed to represent the father in the Court of Appeal as a respondent in a successful appeal against refusal to grant leave to oppose the making of an adoption order.
