R v Ward, Wood, Ali, Beg & Taylor. On the 4th September, at Leeds Crown Court, the last of 5 defendants was sentenced in a case involving the unlawful importation of millions of cigarettes from China in a professional smuggling operation. The case was again investigated by Revenue & Customs Prosecutions Office and prosecuted by Darren Preston.
