Dale Cregan and Associates sentenced to life in Prison

Nicholas Clarke QC and Louise Brandon were instructed by the CPS to prosecute this grave matter. Following one of the most complex trials in British legal history Dale Cregan and five of his associates were sentenced to life imprisonment following the fatal shootings of Mark and David Short as well as the murders of PC’s Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes.

One of the principle defendants, Leon Atkinson, was acquitted of all charges. Roderick Carus QC and Paul McDonald represented Mr Atkinson on the instruction of Peter Grogan from JMW Solicitors.
