Failure to respond to an invitation to mediate: The Consequences

The Court of Appeal's eagerly anticipated decision on the scope of CPR 7.3 has been handed down.

Last week Robert Smith, instructed by the CPS POCA unit, concluded a long running confiscation case, in which the defendant was found to have benefitted from his criminal conduct in the sum of £8 million and was ordered to pay £3.4 million within the next 3 months.
