Gerard McDermott KC and Ian Denham settle Swiss motorcycle injury case for £1.3 million

Gerard McDermott KC and Ian Denham, members of 9 St John Street Chambers’ specialist Travel Law and International Personal Injury Team, were instructed by Blake Morgan LLP to advise and represent a gentleman who was involved in a motorcycle collision whilst touring in Switzerland.

The Claimant sustained catastrophic injuries including an open book fracture of the pelvis that led to loss of sexual function and incontinence. He also sustained a serious head injury that left him with cognitive impairment, epilepsy and vertigo. The Claimant also suffered from considerable mobility constraints.

Mr McDermott KC and Ian Denham negotiated a settlement to the value of £1,300,000 for the Claimant.
