Senior NHS Official Erased from Medical Register

The Doctor had formerly held a number of Senior Strategic NHS positions. Following a criminal charge of voyeurism, contrary to section 67 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, proceedings were commenced by the GMC.  In order to preserve the statutory anonymity of the victim and the convention rights of third parties, the hearing was conducted entirely in private. Having found the Doctor’s fitness to practise to be impaired, the Tribunal concluded the appropriate sanction was one of erasure.

Ed Morgan appeared as Counsel for the GMC.
