PROFILE

Following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of David Gilchrist and Robert Darbyshire, Harrison joined the Business and Property Group in March 2024. He accepts instructions across the broad range of commercial and property work that the Group undertakes and already has experience of the following areas:

  • Wills and contentious probate
  • Real property
  • Commercial disputes
  • Business tenancies
  • Residential tenancies
  • Insolvency and statutory demands
  • Construction
  • Consumer finance and general consumer law, including Consumer Credit Act claims
  • Tax

Harrison is a member of the Attorney General’s Junior Junior Scheme. He was recently led by Joanna Vicary in the First Tier Tax Tribunal in the case of WDL v HMRC [2024] UKFTT 514 (TC), an appeal against HMRC's decision to deny a right to deduct input tax valued at more than £8,000,000.

Before being called to the Bar and returning to Manchester, Harrison worked in London as a paralegal at Signature Litigation LLP, a specialist law firm handling major and complex commercial arbitration and litigation in the High Court.
