Kathrine receives instructions in both Fast Track and Multi-Track matters in all aspects of personal injury litigation and has a growing practice in clinical negligence cases. Kathrine has regularly appeared on behalf of Appellants at the Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeal Panels to challenge financial awards made by CICA to victims of crimes of violence. She has a full working knowledge of all aspects of the Schemes and has dealt with claims ranging from the more modest awards right up to maximum award cases. She is happy to act in an advisory role prior to an Appeal hearing as well as drafting Financial Schedules/Skeleton Arguments.
Kathrine has acted for various Applicants ranging from police officers who have been assaulted in the course of their employment, victims of historic assault cases involving children (including sexual abuse) and assaults resulting in fractured skull and traumatic brain injury.
