9 St John Street is a leading set of barristers based in Manchester compromising of 10 Queen's Counsel and 100 Juniors. A vacancy has arisen for a Fees Clerk to join the team on a full-time basis.
Job Title: Criminal and Family Fees Clerk
Reporting to: Senior Fees Clerk
Hours of work: 08:30 - 17:00
Starting salary: Dependant on experience
Holiday entitlement: 25 days per annum in addition to public holidays
The successful candidate will be used to dealing with high volumes of information and working to deadlines, highly organised, numerate and professional, with a can-do approach to work. Calm under pressure, punctual, reliable and flexible and a supportive team player.
Those applying should preferably have experience of billing or fee chasing within a Barristers Chambers or other legal environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead our established and busy junior criminal clerking team where the primary responsibilities will be to facilitate the smooth running of the daily criminal team diary and assist the Senior Criminal Clerk with the marketing and practice development of its members. Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure are essential qualities. Experience of working in a Barristers Chambers is essential.
