Darren Preston Appointed as Circuit Judge

The Queen has appointed Darren Samuel Preston to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Crown Court (Crown Square) with effect from 2 August 2021. Darren Samuel Preston, aged 52, will be known as His Honour Judge Preston. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1991. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2008.
